In September 2010 we welcomed our second son, who was prenatally diagnosed with CDH - Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia. This blog has been our way of sharing with the world as our family works to fight this monster of a birth defect.
No chest tube for now. Our surgeon thought his 2nd xray looked much better and none of his numbers indicate an issue. They will do another xray later in the day to recheck.
Sarah, I wish there was something I can do beyond pray... We are not too far from Baltimore, so please let me know if I can bring you food at the hospital, or even a place to crash if you are too worn out to drive home. Anything, I mean it.

Sarah and Lalo, I'm not much of a 'prayer,' but I am sending as much positive energy as I can muster to the both of you, little Lalo and Caleb as well. I can't imagine how difficult it must be to be facing these tough decisions on a near constant basis, and feeling basically helpless. Hang in there and take care of yourselves, so that you can be strong for your little guy when he gets home!
Just checking in to see how Lalo is doing. He truly is one tough little guy. What an inspiration. We're praying for his continued strength and healing. -Vicki, James, Jack & Anika Jensen

I'm glad that the second X-ray didn't show a problem. How stressful.
